Annette's Great Ham Glaze

"This has been a favorite among family and friends for years! I hope you enjoy it too."

Ingredients :

  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 8 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup gold rum (such as Bacardi GoldĀ®)
  • 1/4 cup dark molasses
  • 3 tablespoons spicy mustard
  • 1 tablespoon cider vinegar
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions :

Prep : 5M Cook : 10M Ready in : 13M
  • Combine brown sugar, butter, rum, molasses, mustard, and cider vinegar in a large saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, and reduce heat to low. Simmer, stirring constantly, until sugar has melted and the glaze has thickened, about 8 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Notes :

  • Cook's Notes
  • For a darker glaze, use dark brown sugar instead of light.
  • To use glaze, apply to reheated cooked ham, and heat for an additional 15 minutes.
